Merry Christmas Everyone!

So here we are. Another year almost over.

Life hasn't changed very much since last year. The location has changed. Last year I was in Hampton, VA. This year, Ft. Pierce, FL. Having left Hampton the first weekend in September. Originally I had thought I'd be farther south, and earlier. But, I'm learning as I go.

I'll save the projected planning session for the NYD post, and then we can see what work the boat actually needs and what the captain simply wants. I'll just say here that it looks like I'll need to find some sort of income for 6 months or so to help pay for some of the upgrades and put some cash into the cruising kitty.

Thankfully the sea is calm this morning. Wind isn't crazy, and so far boat traffic past the anchorage has been minimal. Wind supposed to pick up later but still not to wild. I hope it's a peaceful day at anchor.

Tomorrow I head for the mooring field at Jensen Beach. I am hoping that picking up the mooring there will be easier than the last 2 times. I am going to try to set up the lines and everything before leaving the anchorage so it will be easier to get on the mooring.
